Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best recognized for her role as Detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she was awarded an Emmy Award. She is also known for her role on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Born as the only daughter to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney had a family of four brothers. Though she had a goal of becoming journalist, it wasn't until high school that Delaney began to model. When she moved away from New York City and gaining an experience working with commercials in New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. Her first appearance as an actor came as an innocent teenager in the soap opera All My Children. Delaney is an acclaimed actress who has been in many films, television shows, and dramas. Delaney has not lived a successful or happy personal life. The actress, who is gifted and gorgeous, has struggled with drinking prior to that. The marriages she has had ended in failure two times. In 2005, the actress lost custody over her only son.
